Our story
Background
Holy Trinity Parish Catholic School in Hackensack, NJ closed in 2009, and its building has since housed a charter high school.
Over the past two decades, the parish has become a predominantly Spanish-speaking immigrant community, with families from Central America, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic. Many parents, often struggling with English proficiency and financial hardship, have little insight into their children's public school education.
Public education has declined, with American students ranking poorly internationally. Additionally, gender ideology and revisionist history are widespread, while foundational academics suffer. Young people today lack the formation to become virtuous, independent thinkers, and many are hesitant to marry or start families.
Our vision
The Veritas School envisions a future where young men and women, formed by a rigorous classical education and enriched by the Catholic faith, grow into virtuous leaders of intellect and character. With God’s grace and the partnership of parents, we strive to cultivate a community where students flourish academically and spiritually, preparing them to serve and lead with wisdom, courage, and generosity.
